Hazy amber with hoppy and citric notes. Flavour had loads of hops, lemon and malty notes. Flavour was hoppy with piney and caramel caramel notes. Finished bitter.i Like.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small and dense white head. Solid hoppy and mild pinewood note. Dry yeasty and solid hoppy aroma. Sweet malty and solid hoppy flavoured. Lasting sweet and solid hoppy and bitter finish. Smooth and easy and quite fruity hoppy. Nice one.

Crisp, bitter hops. Malt with a bread, biscuit flavor. Gold color but low carbonation and now head. Drinkable, but disappointing. And there was no sign of this being a double IPA, rather than an American pale or regualr ipa.

Blond colour, hazy, with creamy head. Nice aroma, piney, mildly dank. Lean mouthfeel, crisp, with light residual sweetness, this would be a perfect base for a modern IIPA; unfortunately, besides some nice piney notes, there's a very strong pithy bitterness, quite disturbing.
I would have it again, but I need food to go with this.

Hazy amber color, with dark copper shades; small creamy head. Delicate aroma, citrusy hops and peach. Strong caramel and toffee flavor, a bit chewy, with strong hopping, quite resiny; but unfortunately there is un unpleasant ashy trace, maybe from more heavily roasted malts, and definitively too much bitterness in the end, that becomes almost unpleasant, harsh.
Not what I remembered, and no longer so pleasant indeed.

Amber color; creamy head. It has the caramel-malt aroma of a Barley Wine or American Strong Ale. Indeed the flavor plays a lot on the bold caramel, the body is medium-strong, strong bitterness; the hop feeling is dry, resiny. The final is less sweet than an American one, but the hop is equally good. Very good.

Bottle: Poured a deep dirty amber and hazy ale with a nice foamy head with some great retention and some good lacing. Aroma of bitter hops is dominating with some subtle notes of resin hops. Taste is also dominated by some bitter hops with some light resin notes. Malt presence is a bit weak for the style and some citrus notes would have been appreciated. Interesting and probably one the first bottled IIPA coming from Canada but slightly below average for the style.

Bottle from BC Liquor Store, Vancouver. Copper colour with lots of grapefruit hop on aroma, moderate earthiness in mouth. Not bad malt and then earthy grapefruit on finish. Good bittterness. Fine. Not too extreme.

Noogfest Clear gold with a fleeting white head. Thin aroma of hops and little malt. Dry flavor. Some bitterness but needs some more malt in there to balance. Comes close to astringent. Re-rate 1/13/07 The score is from the re-rate. 7/4/7/3/13 Average white head over a hazy dark orange. Big fruity malt aroma. The flavor was still moderately bitter and needing some malt balance, but no astringency was noted this time.

Bottle. Pine, grass, slight cracker aroma. Amber, off-white creamy lacing head. Fairly lightbodied, nice hit of dry bitter and some aromatic hops, herbal and spicy honeyish notes. Dies relativrly quickly on a metallic note.

Orange ale with a white head. Pungeant resinous hops with orange notes and nice hops and malt balance. Intense hops in mouth and alcohol in mouth. Sustained bitterness. Rich hoppy beer from BC. Thanks JM. Jan. 2005.
