Reviewed from notes. On tap at Great Lost Bear. Consumed November 20, 2011.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color. Bar pour yields no head.
The smell had the normal peaty/ malty sweets to it with a slight rustic/earthy edge to it.
The taste was basically the same.
On the palate, it sat about a light on the body. I was able to have a couple of these. The carbonation was really light.
Overall, is there such thing as a session Scottish ale? Because apparently, Sheepscot Valley Brewing Company just pulled it off. This actually went decently with my bacon cheeseburger.

22oz bottle pours a transparent, ruby amber with a thin white head. Nose is non existent, light malt, lightly earthy but basically nothing. Flavor is lightly malty and basically nothing else. Medium bodied and dry. Not offensive but there’s just nothing there.
