A light, ruby coloured ale with excellent hop and malt aromas, and a smooth, dry, malty flavour. A real ale that landlords tell us is popular with younger drinkers.

4.0% Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2015. Reddish brown clear beer no head. Getting to the end of the barrel in terms of condition but the flavour us fine. A little appley to start then orchard fruity malt flavour. Some hop on finish. Not very bitter pretty flat condition. Would have scored higher in better touch.

Bronze in colour and maintains a good head, but has very little character elsewhere.

Cask at the Wetherspoons on Victoria Station. Copper coloured with a tight beige head; red fruit aroma; smooth and soft with a rich fruity toffee flavour with lots of depth from deeply roasted malts; the finish is dry with some spicy hops. Very drinkable.

[Cask at the Three Crowns, Chippenham] Chestnut with a slight white head and no fizz. Some toffee, a hint of vanilla; dry finish with a little sour, earthy bitterness. Somehow made me think of a Greene King seasonal which put me right off.

Cask@The New Wheatsheaf, London. Bautiful ruby red colour, small beige creamy head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is fruits, wood, nuts, some hops and mild non-sweet-nectary notes. Flavour is much the same, with a pleasant bittery tone to it. Also some slight notes of raisins. Rather bittery dry finish.
