Bottle shared on Level 42 18/05/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is sweet cakey malts, honey, alcohol, banana, little green apple. Apple cake. Flavour is composed of semi sweet honey malts, apple cake, boozy, hot alcohol, banana bread. Harsh headache inducing alcohol. Palate is medium sweet, tangy woody tannin. Lingering alcohol. High boost no payoff.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 18/05/17. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is sweet malts, cornflower, light caramel, spice, bready, a touch limited taking into account style and ABV. Taste comprises sweet licks, caramel, grains, soft bread, fruit loaf, spice, bitter citric notes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, warming boosty close. Pretty average ABV considered ... doesn’t pull together at all.

Bottle thanks to Kenny at level 42. It pours hazy yellow with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, musty, cornbread, brandy, bready, straw, oak, vanilla, solvent, damp cardboard and creamy banana. The taste is bitter - sweet, grainy, banana bread, apple pie, stewed fruits, permanent marker pen, paint and booze with a warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and thick mouth - feel. Odd mix of solvent and apple/banana.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 26 Feb 2017) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with notes of tropical fruit, oak wood and a slight tannic acidity. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, pineapple, oak wood, citrus, marzipan and a mild bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Wouldn’t call it balanced, with lots of oak and some alcohol. But tasty and quite nice.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Golden color, light hazy. White head, not much. Aroma’s: sweetish, candies, light boozy. Retronasal it’s sweetish, wood, boozy (sherry? cognac?), a bit drop. Flavor is moderate sweet, light vinous, sourish. Rather strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Short finish. Quite nice.

Sampled from tap at ’Beertemple’. Clear, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, peach, honey and vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of honey, peach, vanilla, oak and a touch of grapes, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, sweetish, slightly warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very interesting, never tried something like this before.
