A deep gold session bitter, punching above its weight in flavour. Abundantly hoppy, with subtle floral and citrus aromas. A classic bitter that is both aromatic and bursting with flavour.

ChrisO ’Night Of The Gaylords’ tasting. Clear amber beer. Tired malt. Softish palate that is also dry. Pretty average and nothing special.

Great nose, but has a dry and mostly flavourless taste despite a decent body.

Cask handpull at Fly in the Loaf Liverpool. Amber copper colour with lasting cream head. Ok if dull bitter. Bit sweet for me. Some biscuit on finish. Not much hop. Ok if not exciting to me

500ml bottle from the local grocery store
Appearance: Pours slightly hazy amber with a medium sized creamy white head and good amount of lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Sweet toffee, grassy and citrus
Taste: Toffee, malty, citrus with a lite bitter candy finish, dry
A nice bitter, surprised to find this locally.

Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Finish is bitter and dry. This is very filling and full of flavor considering the 3.7 ABV. 120211

500 ml bottle, a Christmas present from my nephew Einar, thanks! ABV is 3.7%. Amber to brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Nice aroma of toffee and floral hops, just a hint of citrus. The flavour is well hopped for its strength, with herbal and citrussy notes, on a background of toffee and malts. Highly drinkable, a pleasant English session ale - among so many others, yes, but well worth a session of its own.

Bottle that my dad brought along, consumed 25.12.10 Pours amber as name suggests, with tiny white bubbly head. There is a medium bitterness, its a bit fruity, dry at end touch metallic also. Pleasant enough beer. 5 A4 T7 P3 Ov12

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, amber beer with a dense, beige head. Quite neutral nose, bready toffee and some hoppy notes. Rather boring flavor too, but more pronounced, with toffee, some bread and fruity hops. Low on bitterness. Medium body. Sure drinkable, but a bit boring to drink it for hours. 100814
