The second beer in our Digital NZ series, which sees us collaborate with some of the finest breweries and hop growers New Zealand has to offer. Duncans share a similar origin story to ourselves; a 22,000 km trip circumnavigating the US leads George Duncan and Wai Familton to set up a brewery in 2014 on Sheffield Street (Paraparaumu, not Manchester) where their aesthetic is as bold as their beers.

We've been using Eggers Hops over the past year; their farm in Upper Moutere is producing hops with such uniqueness and intensity of flavour, and we're thrilled to partner with them once again. On a thick, pastel-pale body, we've used their Motueka for punchy, zippy lemon-lime, and their Eggers Special hits different with pungent pink grapefruit and passion fruit.

Intense potent juicy fruity with loads of grapefruit and passionfruit, lemon and motueka lime cutting through, soft creamy sweet malty backbone, prickly hop spice bite, assertive balanced bitter hoppy finish. Simply gorgeous.

On tap at Low Key Taproom Ashford. Turbid gold colour lasting white head. Dank hop some tropical fruit some pineapple. OK in mouth. Some heat. Some pineapple. Actually not too bad in the mouth. No real bitterness. It's a lightly dank double ipa. It's ok . Fruit is nice. Not my thing.

15th February 2025
Panda thanks to Cloin. Hazy yellow gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Thin pale malts, a decent creamy sweetness nonetheless. Savoury skunk hops and a little soft pine. Mild hop spice. Soft and slightly ripe hop citrus. Smooth finish. Nice, but as with a few Track DIPAs recently, I find they are leaning towards a generic skunky vibe, I prefer it when they present hop brightness as they are very capable of doing that par excellence.

Hoppy, fruity, a touch sweet. Citrus with grapefruit and orange, softly bitter, finishes dry. Rich, very nice.
