Malty and hoppy, we at Belhaven love the classic Scottish Ale and we’ve been brewing it longer than any of the other beers we produce. Delivering a sweet, smooth and creamy finish, Scottish Ale has a stunning ruby colour in the glass. Magic.

Bodney Towers Bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent carbonation. Super sweet malts, sweet caramel. Sweet fruits. Sweet marmalade. Light finish leaves a sweet fruity linger. Bloody sweet!

Bottle. Copper/mahagony with a small head. Aroma of malts, caramel, a tiny hint of citrus fruits and metal. Taste is malts, caramel, nuts, biscuit and bread. Fruity hops in the aftertaste which almost feels boozy. Medium carbonation. Nice.

330ml bottle. Copper colour with a white foam head leaving lacing. Dried fruits and caramel aroma. Taste is malty, bready, toffee, sweetish, with a blackcurrant hop note and some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

Bottle. Dark brown, low tanned head. Ashen oxidized caramel malt nose. Medium light body, mellow. Bloody on the palate, light sparkles. Oxidized caramel and hay malt, light fruity finish. Mhh, wonder what it tastes like fresh.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Daniel. Pours clear ruby-gold with a creamy, white head. Big malty aroma, brown sugar, graham crackers. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, lots of caramel, minimal bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, a little gooey and sticky, marmalade, toasted caramel. Good malty beverage.
