500ml bottle. Poured a hazy medium amber with a fizzy, short-lived white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet, with a light, very slightly watery, light fruity, light pepper spice, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Cask at Southampton Arms. Amber coloured, maybe a little bit red, with off white head of very small bubbles. Aroma is stinky socks and a bit of hoppy bitterness, bit non-descript. Bit of bready malts too. Taste is biscuit malt, bit of a bitter finish. Nothing special for me. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dr Hexters Healer on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Cask at V Shed, JDW. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Mellow leafy hops in the nose, lightly toasted pale malts. Light-medium sweet flavour with rounded bready sugars, low bitterness, a few berries. Medium-bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary, bready finish, brown bread, licks of caramel, just a nip of leafy bitterness. Not bad. Basic.

Dan's Stag. VShed Spoons. Cask. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a little dry, modest fine carbonation. Dry malts, mildly sweet. Modest hops, little tired citrus and very mild spicy bitterness. Dry finish. Bitter linger. Okay.

Cask @ Manchester & County, Manchester. Dark amber with a creamy head. It has a heavy tasting strength, which does impact on its high bitterness and provides some toffee notes in its taste.

Cask at Butler, Reading, 19/05/17. Nil aroma. Initially hazy but then settles. Medium chestnut. Decent small bubbled white head. Medium sweet, with light bitterness coming through. Herby. Malty. Tangy. Medium bodied but still somewhat watery. Soft carbonation. Short finish. A decent enough ESB. I liked the herbs in the taste.
