Not bad. Rye works alot like wheat, lending a zesty and lean malt profile. Lemony citrus notes, and floral hops give this some character. Light but not watery, it has a smooth palate and easy finish. I’d drink it again if I needed a light refreshing beer with character. Bright yellow golden with a small to medium head.

Wasn’t too bad, but nothing really to talk about. Did not really enjoy the aftertaste too much.

Very much a summer beer. Light and refreshing. Light aroma with just a touch of malt. It looks good, like a hefeweizen; cloudy with lots of suspended sediment. Flavor is very light, with little more than a hint of lemon. I wish it had more flavor.

I am not a big fan of this brewer though I have had this beer a time or two over the years. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a slightly hazy medium yellow color with a very small white head that fades quickly. The aroma is a tangy dry grainy scent. The flavor is dry sour malts, light tangy grains and a mild rye flavor.

2005 bottle at Julios Spring Beer Fest, 4/02/05. Well, it was certainly ridicuous the amount of people gathered round the booth that were freaking out about this beer. I’m not quite sure what they were excited about. Was it the light spice of rye? Was it the light body, high carbonation and little to no malt appearance?? Just a fizzy, lightly citric product, of no consequential malt, a little bit of honey, to be fair, and some dry, grain flavors. Just seems like another bland, too-easy-drinking attempt at a crowd pleaser.

Draft. Another leftover from the Oak Lawn "Fall on the Green" that made its way to our homebrew club picnic. A very well-tuned lawnmower beer for the summer. Has many qualities of an American Wheat, but the rye means less of the weizen aspect while keeping the tangy, slightly citrusy qualities. I sure liked it.

Pours a cloudy yellow. No real aroma on this brew. Flavor is malty/wheaty but nothing stands out. A good summer i guess but im not a fan of summer’s.

Keg at HeRftTDrF’s poured a cloudy unfiltered light amber with a nice head and decent lacing. Aroma was bread and yeast and slightly sweet. Tasted like a Hef, wheaty and yeast, with that cloudy feel on the palate. A pleasant brew that seems a bit under rated. Maybe the bottle lacks something.

Pours golden yellow, with abundant sediment in the body and a thin off-white head. Metallic, grassy aroma. Flavor is is tangy and bites the tongue with pleasant fruity and grassy flavors. Refreshing and lager-like.

Slightly hazy golden colour with a very small white head. Smells of yeast, cloves and bananas...very faint wheat smelling. Light tasting, with refined hops and malt. Neither characteristic stands out, but there is some flavour and a pleasant subtleness of character. Pretty good for a summer beer actually, no big reason to complain on this one. I bought the single twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.
