Run Through A Field Of Wheat is a hoppy wheat IPA. The beer is slightly cloudy, pale blond and has an alcohol percentage of 6%. The typical full taste of wheat beers is combined with a mild bitterness of 35 IBU. The aroma is spicy / hoppy due to the combination of the typical wheat flavour and the floral citrus character of the hops that are used.

Tap at t Paters Vaetje. Bit hazy light golden with big white head. Cloves, soft doughy, light citrus, some grassy hops, soft tangerine and orange. Just medium sweet, medium bitter and light tartness from the wheat. Medium bodied. Quite nice, though maybe a little to much yeast for me.

The newest Musketeers beer and apparently the starting point of a whole new series; draught at Gollem in Antwerp. Cobweb-lacing, snow white, thick, regularly shaped head over a hazy 'old gold' coloured beer with vague khaki tinge. Aroma of dried grapefruit peel, bitter dried herbs, hay, raw apple, soap, white bread, unripe pear, pineapple, green melon, banana, minerals. Fruity, crisp onset, some green apple and unripe banana notes but relatively restrained, peach, sharpish, souring carbonation but still supple mouthfeel. Clean bready and bit soapy-wheaty middle though less wheaty than expected for what is essentially a Belgian interpretation of white IPA; light caramelly edge but subdued in sweetness; lingering fruit notes, bittering grassy and citrus peel hop finish, bit spicy, quenching, tad earthy. Quite soft and lacking a bit in hop aromatics for a present-day IPA of whatever kind, more a classic Belgian hop-forward blonde actually, but clean and to the point, with high drinkability. Not at the same level as Troubadour Magma and its derivatives, though...

20/IV/18 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home - BB: 20/III/20 (2018-462)

Clear blond golden beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty fruity, malty, grains, bit herbal, some banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, bit sweet, ripe banana, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: pretty yeasty, fruity, lots of banana, bit sweet, bitter touch, hint of citrus. Not really an ipa, and missing quite a bit of wheat as well... Not a bad beer, though...
