Keg @ Franciscan Well pub, Cork [120416]
Light blonde, clean, thin white head
Aroma of light grainy malt
Taste of light grain malt, sweet pale caramel, sugary lager
Palate - Medium carb, light body, rather sweet. Finish of sweet pale malt.
Overall - Tastes like macro beer. Boring. Not surprised by the low score on here

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear pale golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of mild hops and bready malt. Light body with flavors of herbal hops and sweet malt. There is a touch of citrus there too. The finish is lightly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draught at O’Neills, Dublin. Clear pale golden, minimal head. Fruity nose with sligh tspicy hops. Light bodied with clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Slight salty bitterness. A straightforward beer, more in line with the commercial examples of kölsch than the more traditional ones.

Draft @ O’Neills, Dublin.

Crystal clear gold coloured body with a large white head and tons of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma of malt, soap and clean fresh hops. Light-bodied; Mild malty flavour showing some yeast, a bit of sugars and a nice drying taste. Aftertaste shows some sugars, a dash of light german hops and a maltiness which lasts on the palate. Overall, a nice beer to try in Ireland, but not an amazing beer. Stick with Galway Hooker if you only get one here. I sampled this pint on draught at the Bull & Castle in Central Dublin, Republic of Ireland on 20-February-2009.
