Old rating from 2014 - 500ml bottle from the brewery on my Wales road trip. Poured at home in Jersey, it's caramel with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, grains, nuts, toffee & malt. Moderate body. Dry mild bitter finish

Bottle from Tesco Extra, Bridgend, Wales, 21.08.11 Pours amber good clarity with a filmy white head. Fruit & toffee on the nose and in mouth, slight boiled sweet quality to this. Soft in the mouth, lacks a little in bitterness, though there is some, quite dry at end. Its marginally better than the Rhymney Export and overall whilst not exciting itβs fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle 50cl. Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090724]
