Rhymney Bitter 4.5%, a traditional tasting beer. Some suggest originally a Whitbread Brew, derived from Kings Ale, often referred to as The Wine Of The Valleys! We hope that this beer, our version, will prove just as Worthy!

Malty bitter nose and taste, but a very healthy one in both areas. Looks the part too.

Bottle from Tesco Extra, Bridgend, Wales, 21.08.11 Pours amber good clarity with a filmy white head. Fruit & toffee on the nose and in mouth, slight boiled sweet quality to this. Soft in the mouth, lacks a little in bitterness, though there is some, quite dry at end. Its marginally better than the Rhymney Export and overall whilst not exciting it’s fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Clear brown beer. Soft palate. Soft fresh malt - a bit watery but in a refreshing mineral water sort of way! A little bit of hop at the end. A curious beer but a clean tasting one!

Bottled. Clear dark amber. Aroma of resin and plums. Fruity, yet dry and light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Straight foward light malt followed by resiny bitterness.
