On tap @ Café Stefanshus, Copenhagen. Pours slightly hazy dark ruby with small off-white head. Clear aroma of hops with subtle malty notes. Sweetish, malty onset, giving way to (metallic) bitterness, ending dry. Rough palate. Nothing special but definitely drinkable.

Bottle, as Næsgaarden Mørk. It pours a clear, copper body under an off-white head. Sourish, fruity nose with some grains. Slighlty sourish flavor too, with dried fruits and a hint of caramel. Thin and sourish mouthfeel, and a short, sour finish. Still, it’s not undrinkable, but not very pleasant either. Certainly off. 090720

Hazy light brown. The aroma is roasty with a little bit metallic. It’s picked up some tart character alongside toasty, vaguley chocolate dark malts. At this point in the development of sourness it works well, actually.

Bottle picked up in Denmark, September 2008 Pours dark reddy/amber in colour with an off white bubbly head. Bit nutty, slightly sour, some fruit and maltiness, quite a decent tangy beer, I didn’t mind this but tired of it after a while.
