A rich, indulgent stout with a refreshing twist, blending earthy matcha, bittersweet cocoa, and silky vanilla over a robust malt base. The combination of dark roasted flavours and the bright, herbal character of matcha create a complex yet beautifully balanced beer.

Can shared thanks to Alexander. Very dark brown, small tan head. Coffee creamer, roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, soft matcha, tobacco. Medium seeet, less bitter. Watery body. I don't like it.

Decent balance, dry baking cocoa, nips of toasted herbs, well toasted mats, soft earthy bitterness. Well drinkable.

CBJ bottle share, thanks to Fergus for the can. Near opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light bodied dark malts, a soft dark chocolate. The matcha vibe is pretty light but, adds flavour and a mild bitterness. Nice, drinkable, could have been bolder for me.

One-third pint, draught at Vocation & Co. Sheffield. Patchy, off-white surface, poor lacing, almost black in the glass. Mid-sweet chocolate malty aromas, carefully roasted. The taste character follows suit with earthy chocolate malts, hints of coconuts to it. Mid-sweet chocolate malty ending, smoothly roasted. Fine depth to it. Good drinking. (29.04.2025).

Telly Savalas, better singer or actor? Whilst debating that, time to enjoy this chocolate indulgent brew, heavy in both aroma and taste, with a bit of strength to the latter, although this is lost in its lingering chocolatey aftertaste.
