(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 23 July 2011) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with citrus and blackberries. Fruity, slightly harsh taste with notes of blackberries, citrus and a slightly soapy malt character. Gentle bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain berry sweetness. Interesting and quite refreshing.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2011. A golden coloured pour with a small off white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes of blackberries, crisp, slight bitterness, interesting sweetness in a sherbert sort of way. This was rather unusual and very enjoyable.

Cask at the Market Porter, London. Pours clear gold with a soft, white head. Malt, wheat, grain and blackberry comprise the aroma. Flavor is nice and sweet, lightly syrupy with noticable blackberry notes. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Has a sweet, fruity finish with very mild, earthy bitterness. Good beer. Nice fruit character that’s not over the top.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 8/4/10. Deep gold with next to no head. Aroma of brambles, sweetish malts and floral hops. Flavour of biscuit malts, a touch of blackberry fruit and a hoppy, dry finish. Not sure that the blackberries added much, but this was a decent beer nonetheless.

Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 (actually had this on the Thursday 17th) Poured mid/warm golden with white head. Blackberry was what shone through in the aroma and this was also was very noticeable in the mouth along with a nice fresh crispness and decent fruity body, I rather liked this but felt that more than a pint and it could become a bit wearing and too sweet, still interesting and rather nice.
