Tap at the Alehouse. Pours dark amber. Aroma is soft toasted malts, some pine. Body is light and bitter, low carbonation, rather sweet. Also sweet on the palate. Quite good, but a bit boring.

Cask at Hootananny, Inverness, 18/10/13. Hazed reddish amber with a good sized beige head, good lacing ensues. Nose is sweetish, biscuit malt, light hop bill, mineral notes, citrus, hint of grapefruit. Taste comprises caramel, biscuit malt, light spic, good hop presence. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, light hop bitterness in the finish. Nice malty hoppy amber affair.
