Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you’ll remember.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a big, creamy/rocky, tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of cocoa, coffee, cream, smoke and burnt malts. first sip was smooth and had a thin mouthfeel. Flavours of smoke and light cocoa most prodominant with caramel and coffe coming in a close second. Finish is burnt with smoke and molassass flavours lingering.

12oz bottle from ABC poured into an English Pint. Pours almost black with about a finger of light tan head. Strong aroma of chocolate. Smells like nesquick powder before you add the milk. Taste is lightly bitter and lightly sweet. Strong dry chocolate taste. Big minus points here. Light bodied with a thin texture. Soft carbonation and a nice chocolate finish. It’s almost like they took an awesome stout and watered it down. Overall, pretty good. I’m glad I have two bottles so I can enjoy at least one more.

Bottle at Denver airport. Opaque black beer. Smooth soft stout. Just a hint of chocolate. Unusually crisp palate for a stout.

Purchased at Breeze Thru in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed during the aftermath of the Chicago 2011 blizzard while nursing a mean case of pink eye. Pretty good but standard stout. Appearance pure black with a thin off-white head. Aroma purely of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste of chocolate and roasted malt, milky, also can taste the hops in there ever so slightly, pretty smooth. Pretty good stuff.
