Old rating from 2010 - Pint from the tap at the Berkeley Hotel in Scunthorpe, pours golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of bread, butter, straw & malt. Moderate body. Light bitter finish

Cask@Princess Louise, London. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some nutty notes with mild grass and crisp bready tones. Flavour is grassy, herbal, some mild bready and mild biscuity tones.

Keg @ Duke of Argyll, Soho, Several times in the latter 2000’s. Don’t remember it too much to be honest, rating it years later given it’s now retired so there’s no chance of tasting it again. Ordinary tasting with a carbonation is about it and not a huge difference from the current version available.

Aroma: Malt, bread.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Malt, bread, hops. Clean, easy to drink.

On tap at The Rose of York, Richmond, Surrey 23.07.11 on the Thames Tipple Pours gold with a white head and busy carbonation, there is a good clarity to this lager. Sweet, malty and with a touch of bitterness this is as I expected. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

On tap the Princess Louise. Clear gold beer, very malty with a distinct caraway nuttyness. A bit different for a lager but would not want loads.

Tap at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. Clear yellow pour, super bubbly, with a foamy white head. Pale malt nose with straw hops. Lightly sweet, bready flavor with some cereal. Light bodied with average carbonation. More cereal and bread in the finish with crispy bitters. Not terrible, just a bit bland.

Cask @ The Crown, London. Clear golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hoppy and malty. Flavour of lager malts, with a hint of hops. Slightly bitter and dry finish.

Cask (handpump) @ The Chandos, 29 St Martins Lane, Trafalgar Square, London, Greater London England WC1.Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy, grass notes. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090102]
