Backlog February 2009. Dark brown body under a creamy, dense beige head. Aroma of mild roasted malt with hint of coffee and chocolate. Taste is sweet, mild roasted malt, coffe, chocolate and decent bitterns. Fine body with bitter aftertaste. Rather straight forward but well made and nice.

0,75 l. corked bottle as Bøgedal # 0278, 6.9 % abv. Dark brown colour with deep red hues. Dense, tanned head that faded fast. Nice aroma of flower and citrus hops, also milk chocolate. Light sweet taste with bitter cocoa and coffee, also some fruity bitterness. Medium body with a slick texture. Long bitter, roasted finish. Nice - however, for a hefty price.

On tap at Churchkey. Pours a watery, cola colored deep brown with zero head. Nose is a touch smokey, wet malts, sweet. Flavor is brown paper bag, brown sugar, watered down unfermented malt, light caramelization. Thin, watery finish. Umm... what is this?
