Things move slowly on this island – which suits our lager down to the ground. The rich and full flavour of this thirst quenching drink is down to its unusually long fermentation. Whether it’s the salt in the sea air that blows through the brewery, or the quality of the water – we’re not sure – but we think you will agree there is something special about this lager.

Pours golden with a nice prop head. Nose is metallic, spicy and herbaceous. Taste of more herbs, some pale male. Palate is well balanced - light to medium body n texture, clean finish. Overall, a well made pils.

Bottle from Peckhams Union Sq, Aberdeen. It pours pale yellow, with a thin foamy white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is hay, cereal, grass and white bread. The taste is lemon, lime, white bread, cereal, grass and biscuit, with a bready finish. It’s simple, smooth and really easy to drink. A solid lager.

Bottled@Fonefan. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is hops, diacetyl and some mild earthyness. Flavour is quite much the same with some mild sweet hayish notes. Wellbalanced, but not very exciting.
