Bottle from Tesco in Wokingham. Poured a slightly hazy gold with a thick white head and visible carbonation. Aroma of tropical fruit, bready malt and a slight metallic tinge. Citrus hop flavours with hay and caramel sweetness. Finishes with biscuit, dry grain, light hop resin and a little toffee.

God og drikkverdig pale ale eller esb, men kanskje ikke så mye imperial over den.

500 ml bottle. A deep golden body with a off-white head. Mild and fruity aroma with a hint of cooked vegetables. Flavor is smooth caramel malt, fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and short in aftertaste. A bit in the middle of the road with some minor faults.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep golden one with a small really bubbly just off-white top. The aroma is not to inviting to be honest. It smells like a thin English bitter; watered down caramel, something floral, almost a bit metallic before some traces of sweet burned raisins appear. Well, not to flagship-like on the aroma at least, but hopefully it will be a bit better on the taste. Well, not much really. By all means no bad flavors, just hoped for something a bit more. Thin oily mouthfeel and the carbonation is just below average. Caramel and mouthdrying wood at first. The it gets all floral, with something slightly burned. Almost like a burned match. It has a trace of bitterness, but you don't really notice it before in the aftertaste. It kinda grows on you, but all in all this is a beer within a genre I'm struggling to really get a hold on. That being said, is not a bad beer this. 23.03.2013

Bottle. Aroma is fruity, flowery. Colour is clear golden, head is small and quickly disappearing. Taste is nicely balanced fruity sweet and hoppy bitter. Lacks the usual IPA hop hick, but never mind. Later honey and zest appear in taste. Despite the commercial description being false, the beer itself is not really bad. No wonder it is classified as ESB here, I was just about to suggest it. The hops bitterness is earthy in flavour, lightly zesty. Drinkability is good, finish is a bit mild / short duration.

500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Deep golden to amber colour, low white head, leaves a nice lacing. The aroma has notes of toffee, malts and some fruit. The flavour is more malty than hoppy, with toffee and blackcurrant notes, but not very sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. This is hardly an IPA by any stretch of the mind, but a fairly decent premium bitter. Very drinkable.

Fra cask på Charlie’s, nov-12: Bronsefarget, litt uklar. Fruktig aroma. Rund, medium munnfylde med litt maltsødme (karamell) og tørt gress. Passe bitter og perfekt temperert.
