Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Dark red with a creamy-frothy head. Has steady light tasting floral roasted malts in both aroma and taste.

[Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence.] An opaque tawny brown pour with a thin yellowish cream head; light malty aroma;a thin malty taste with a touch of fruity bitterness; and a dry biscuity finish. A pleasant mild.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough, 16/08/17. Vague sweet malty aroma. Cola brown. Frothy beige head. Light sweet. Malty base. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat carbonation. Low key finish. Nice. Slips down. If unmemorable.

Cask at GBBF 2016. Day 1. Pours clear brown with reddish highlights and a foamy topping. Pretty good stuff, with notes of brown bread, faint smoke, a bit of cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with soft roast, more chocolatey malts. Nice mild.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2016. Poured dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and nut. Medium body, soft carbonation. Finish is semi-sweet and somewhat dry. Easy drinker.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear dark red - brown with a decent beige head. The aroma is toasted malt, caramel, chocolate cake and cacao nibs. The taste is toasty, cacao, wood, earth, leather, ashy, tobacco, malt loaf and dark fruits. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Well - rounded and easy drinking mild. Decent.

Cask at GBBF ’16, day one, 09/08/16. Rich mahogany brown topped with a decent beige head. Nose is nutty, brown bread, spice, light roasted notes. Taste comprises earthy dark fruits, spice, charr, tobacco, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent mild.

Cask at GBBF 2016 09/08/2016. A clear chestnut brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is sweaty malts, fruit and nut, molasses. Flavour is composed of fruit cake, nutty, brown bread, sugars, malts palate is semi sweet, lowish carbonation, watery . Ok mild.

Cask at GBBF 2016, Olympia, London. A dark brown coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes quite similar, roasty, malty, hint of coffee. Decent mild from Church End.

Tried at the Nottingham beer festival 2015. Almost black colour with a thin head. Aroma has roasted malt with grassy hops. Taste light bitter.
