A refreshing golden session bitter, wickedly hopped with East Kent Goldings and Challenger. Citrus hoppy notes with hints of marmalade and a crisp clean finish.

Cask. Appearance is very clear orangey amber. A one finger white head. Fruity aroma with orange undertones and some malt. Taste is bitter and hoppy, with orange, citrus fruit, lemons, and a lengthy finish. Quite good.

Cask at the Baring Hall Hotel, Grove Park. Gold pour with a white head. Light malt aromas with a splash of wet moss and vanilla. Christ, I wish I could make out my spider writing, according to my notes the aroma was vanilla, light citrus and dusty keys. That’s me baby, one of the pioneers of weird noses! Haven’t written much else about this one.... probably confused myself with the dusty keys reference.... or is that an ’h’ there...could be ’hops’.. enough!!

Cask@Baring Hall Hotel, Grove Park - golden pour with a small to medium creamy persistent white head and lacing. Fruity citrus hoppy, sweet bready malts, nice floral notes, easy drinking and refreshing with good medium bitter finish. More of a golden ale than bitter to me, and a good one at that.

Cask at the Alma, London, Oktoberfest Beer Festival. Pours clear, rich gold with a filmy head. Malt, caramel and cracker aroma. Sweet flavor with bread and earthy bitterness. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with great balance, having some bready malts and fine, earthy hops. An overall mellow character. Nice.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London, 8 Aug 2010) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, dried apricots and fresh floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, biscuity malt and generous doses of fresh floral hops in the finish. Rather thin on the malt side, but with a generous hop character. Balanced sweetness. Nice and refreshing.

Cask at the Three Mariners, Hythe, Kent. AMber with a thin off-white head; honey aroma; complex buttery flavours, with sour fruit, caramel, shortbread and honey; light bitter finish. An interesting beer.
