Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours clearish, pale yellow with a ringy film. Crisp, unripe apple nose. Nice flavor, not too sweet, bit of funk and dankity dank - though mellow - and faint tartness. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes dry or semi-dry, mildy sweet with some lingering, crisp apples. I like this kind of cider.

On hand pump at the Goddard Arms, Clyffe Pypard, Wiltshire 29/1/2011. Pale yellow with a bit of fizz and slight haze. Sweet, pulped apples with the faintest trace of the barnyard. Has an unpleasant, industrial edge to it.

Bag in a box at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Pale green gold with haze. Some apple flavour but a tad vague. Touch of wood spirit. Poor vinegar aroma. Yug I think is the word. Cant finish a half pint.

Cask, ’Bag in a box’ at The Trigger Pond, Bucknell, St Georges Beer Festival 26-04-10 Pours lemony colour, touch of haze. Good appley tang, some dry and sour elements come through. There is a sweetness starting to show and its a bit like lemon squash at time, other than being a bit thin and squashlike its ok. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask Conditioned at J. D. Wetherspoon - Tyburn, London, 6% ABV, as Conquest Scrumpy Cider
Cloudy golden color. The apple character is subdued, it’s more winy, and woody, with a quite evident astringency, even if the mouthfeel manages to be smooth; limiter sourness, and some citrus fruits. Overall it’s good, but the final is short.
