Cask @ our hotel in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, Wales. Pours a lightly misty amber with creamy head. Aroma light malts. Taste is light unassuming bitter, creamy malt character. Simple but inoffensive.

Pint on tap at Castle View, Deganwy. Slight hop nose, not much. Crystal clear copper beer with thin but lasting white head. A little zingy on the tongue, a bit of toasted malt. Finishes with a floral fruity hop touch. Not bad.

Bottle from Asda, Enniskillen [210714]
Amber, slight haze, massive fluffy white head...took ages to pour in the glass, some good lacing
Aroma of soft sweet fruits, apricot, light peach
Taste of fruity malts, soft peach and apricot, dab of cereal, nice fruity yeast in this, slight bitter hop, mellow fruits, easy
Palate - very soft carb, medium body, bit oily, quite sweet, nice soft texture. Finish as main flavour, soft sweet fruits, slight bitter hop in the linger.
Overall - Didn’t expect this to be much good, certainly after pouring in the glass, but it’s quite a nice quaffable fruity mellow beer.

Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 21 Jan 13. Gyldenbrun. Nesten ikke skum. Aroma av epler. Smaken litt vassen. Tung fruktsmak. Ikke helt vellykket.

Copper colour. Interesting aroma of biscuity malts and broad beans. Flavour also has earthy, sweet vegetable taste which also has some bitter orange peel too.

On tap @ the Cottage Loaf. Pours amber with a decent head. The nose is delivering the hoped for biscuits and toffee and this promise is kept on the taste. The palate is balanced - medium bodied, crunchy texture and a chunky but clean finish. Overall, a good example of a bitter.

[Cask at the Monk’s Retreat (JDW), Reading] Light amber with a white head and a light sparkle. Caramel, honey and a moderate bitterness. Decent if fairly standard bitter; went down very easily.

500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Hazy orange to amber coloured body, thin white froth on top. Nose is sour fruit, apricots, banana, yeast. Carbonated body, a sweet-sour flavour, with a bitter ending. I didn’t really like this one.
