We’ve often been inspired to brew beers on a theme. In 2007 it was black IPAs. 2008 saw Belgian-influenced IPAs, and more than once it’s been Triple IPAs. It’s been fun to dive deep, and you’ve ridden those waves right along with us. But like you, we also crave new breaks to surf. Right now, it’s tropically-inspired IPAs as represented both by this flavored ale, Stone Tangerine Express IPA and others we’ve got waiting in the wings....With Stone Vengeful Spirit IPA we employ a bit of tropical mythology to pay homage to our ever present gargoyle. Since 1996 he’s had our backs, and yours, by representing an aggressive intolerance for commoditized beer. He constantly inspires us to forge ahead with resolve–even with the omnipresent forces of forceful evil. Vengeful spirits can be awesome when they’re on your side.

Another exploration into fresh fruit with a nice array of fruity and floral hops. This is about as refreshing as it gets with just the right amount of malt and bitterness to carry this beer through to another sip, taste, pint, etc.

Tap at Stone Berlin. Hazy golden with white head. Pretty dank and herbal with tropical fruit and crackers. Pretty good one.

Can. Harrogate Fine Wines. Orange gold. Soft haze. A few fruity floaters. Clingy, foamy, lasting, white head. Nose has tinned mandarin. Some pineapple. Some soft, fruity esters. Sticky malt backdrop. A little minty and herbal. Smells great. Taste is sticky sweet, with some herbal bitterness. Soft mouthfeel. Sticky and squishy. Light, citric bitterness to finish. Very nice.

Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. A hazy bright golden beer with a mid sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of wheat, some resinous hops, apricot. Taste of resinous bitter hops, orange fruits, zest, nice.

(Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Stone Berlin version I presume. Clear golden, little white. Nose is nice aromatic passionfruit, pineapple, tropical, low chess. Oily basic bit empty oily tropical fruit, low cheese hop, easy drinking. Nice one. Touch too light but good.

12 oz can from work. Aroma is tropical fruit, orange creamsicle, slightly vegetal. Pours hazy golden with fine particulates under a diminishing white head that leaves patterns of lace on the glass. Taste is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, lightly tart from the fruit. Flavors are like the aroma. Alcohol is noticeable. Body seems a bit on the thin side. Not bad, but I was hoping for more.

12oz can. Poured a mostly clear, orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was some light resin, orange, some citrus. Flavor was juicy, resin - tasty but it doesn't really stand out from their other IPAs.
