Cask at White Hart, Chobham. Citrus and malty aroma with a spiciness to it. Copper gold. Thin bubbly translucent white head. Medium bitter with a citrus bite. Underlying fruit syrup sweetness. Spicey into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Decent enough, has some life to it.

Cask at the Whip Inn, Laceys Green, 31/08/20. Clear golden with a decent lasting white cap. Nose is pale malts, biscuit, light honey, watermelon, grass. Taste comprises lemon rind, sweet malts, honeydew melon, grains, crackers. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent enough well kept cask affair If a little short on flavour considering it’s 5%+.

[Cask at the Falcon, High Wycombe] Light amber with a moderate white head. Mild creamy caramel is the order of the day here. There’s a light floral hint in the finish, but really it’s pretty bland and disappointing from a brewery that’s normally reasoanably decent.

Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, and lesser notes of alcohol and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry bitter end with notes of toffee.

Cask at The Monks’ Retreat (JDW), Reading. Golden with a white head; crisp and refreshing with a grapefruit flavour and some honey; a refreshing bitter aftertaste with more grapefruit. Excellent.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is amber to copper. Nose is fruity, flowery with hints of wild berries. Taste is malty, fruity with a short, rather metallic, bitter finish. Not exciting, but nice and refreshing.
