A hazy golden ale with a thin lacing white head. A classy c-hops aroma with mandarin pulp^and grapefruit. In mouth, a sweet doughy malt with c-hops, grapefruits, medium bodied. A good IPA. Tasted Nov. 21 2008.

Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,11,10,4,10 - 9,80

Bottle at Chris_o’s The Wolf tasting. Thanks to Mes and Hogtownharry. Gold with thin off white head. Really nice PNW hop. Grapefruit is lovely. Some choc lime. That’s my kinda beer. Just lacking a little in the malts.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale amber color with a small white head. Grassy hoppy malty aroma with some hints of citrus and grapefruit. Sweetish malty grassy hoppy flavor with hints of grapefruit. Slightly sweetish malty hoppy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle, 7.8%. Fruity aroma, distinct elderflower notes. Almost clear golden orange colour, small white head. The flavour is very clean with a good, noticeable bitterness and ending on a fruity note with a hint of yeast. Goes down very well. Not heavy in spite of ABV.

What should you expect from a bottle with Frank Zappa’s picture on it? Pours a hazy straw gold with peachy or rosy hues and a foamy white head. Aroma was wonderful, nice subtle hop notes, perfume, lemons, pine, with a floral bouquet from the yeast. Flavor was very similar to the aroma with nice malt undertones and a touch of biscuit to go along with the hop citrus and flowers. Well balanced in the nose and on the tongue. Finish has some lasting bitterness and no hint of the heightened alcohol, even a bit watery. This really exceeded my expectations, subtle while still maintaining a unique character. But is it bold enough for Zappa?
