500 ml bottle, kindly brought home from Copenhagen by my wife. Brew #201, ABV is 7.0%. Black colour, huge chocolate brown creamy head. Very nice roasted aroma, dark malts, chocolate, coffee. Hints of dark dried fruits as the beer warms up. Creamy mouthfeel. The flavour has distinct notes of coffee and roasted malts, also notes of chocolate and English liquorice, with a firm roasty and hoppy bitterness in the finish. Good stuff!

Bottle from Barley Wine in Copenhagen. Drank at the airport just after we checked in, but before going through security. Black, lasting tan head. Lovely aroma, stunning. Very thick and intense, molasses, liquorice, tar. Quite oily in mouth. Good subtle heat from the alcohol. Not a lot of hop. Little dryness. No real grainyness. Excellent oily stout.

Picked this up in Superbrugsen somewhere in Denmark Pours black with mid brown head. This is a good solid stout, nice dry bitterness, coffee granules, not so much sweetness. Good stuff.

aroma : nice, vanilla, sugar, banana, slightly fruity. totally dark, brown smooth not-so-large head. flavor : faint chocolate, roasted coffee?, faint banana smoothie, ends rather sweet, like chocolate cream, combined with roasted stuff and coffee. palate is quite thick, sort of matches the vanilla. overall an okay stout, good stuff in there, but it draws down that it feels like it’s a banana-stout-smoothie. also the roasted stuff and coffe seems to be much stonger than the other flavors, rendering it a bit unbalanced.

Bottle: Deep dark amber, mid-sized lacy brownish head; toasted malt, dried fruits and a certain acidity in the nose; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, medium bodied; moderate sourish-toasted finish. O.K. ... drinkable, but a bit too sour.........

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Almost black coloured hue with a mid-sized beige foamy head. Dusty, moderately sweet and slightly sourish fruity nose with a dark, slightly roasted malt-character. Light-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly roasted malty base with sourish fruity notes; moderately dry and sweet-bitter finish. Needs a re-rate due to infection (23.04.08).
