Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Extremely dark with a creamy off-white head. Has mostly understated dark malts, with a hint of roasted in its nose. Crisp and relatively smooth drinking.

Cask half-pint, hand-pulled in The Station, Oakengates Shropshire. Obviously re-brewed for winter 2015. Ruby body with a mahogany look and teak finish: on top a full, lasting, smooth off-white blanket of foam. Malty, semi-sweet and mild in nature. Easy drinking with light chocolate flavours oozing out in the finish.

(Gravicask at Old Fountain, Old Street, London, 25 Nov 2010) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, coffee and dark fruit. Roasted, malty taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread and dried fruit. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness and a balanced coffee bitterness. Very nice porter.

Gravity cask at the Old Fountain. Pours amber-brown with a bubbly, beige head. Hard, roasted malts in the aroma with notes of mocha. Rich flavor, lightly sweet, with cocoa, bark, burned coffee grounds, and roasty bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine to average carbonation. Finishes very dry and roasty, with further hard, lightly mineral maltiness. Very good.
