Cask at the NWAF, Manchester, 2012. General’s gathered in their masses...this one had a nose of molasses...as well as currants and sweet spice. Dark fruit approach, malty sweet flavour. Fruity finish. Heavy stuff.

From cask at Kelham Island Tavern. Pours dark brown to black with a small off white to tan head. Aroma is roasted malty. Mild acidic and roasted malt flavoured. Somewhat alcoholic too. Acidic and dark malty finish. Not really my thing.

5th December 2008. Very dark brown stout. Soft and rich with a slight undercurrent of cherry-raspberry. Dry malt finish that is just slightly bitter. The fruitiness makes this very drinkable. No need to be Paranoid at all!

Cask. Pours a very dark brown with a vague orange hue and a small off-white head. Lightly burned malt in the nose, perhaps a whiff of butter also. Full-bodied, rich in sweet, hard roasted malts and sweet dried fruit. Again almost no bitterness - Brunswick seems to be afraid of hops! 170110

Cask at The Brunswick, Derby 17-08-08 Pouring almost black with beige head, this beer is quite thick, roasty and with a creamy woodiness.Drinks well for a 6% beer, some wet woody twigs dipped into some smooth gentle coffee, nice.
