Cask@GBBF2011. Slightly hazy goldeny amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and caramelly notes with some slight earthy and yeasty notes as well. Flavour is rather similar. Balanced and refreshing, but nothing really special. Good APA though.

On draft @ Portsmouth Brewery on a guest tap. Served in a pint. Slightly hazy gold. Small head with very light lace. The aroma is sweet and floral. It is light to medium bodied and has a pretty bitter and balanced malty taste with really good carbonation across the tongue. It tastes like you are drinking a bouquet of flowers and fruit. Not terrible but not something I would ever buy again. I don’t want to drink flowers in my brew.

This is a good one. Quite hoppy with a light sweet malt structure to keep it going. Citrus and light molasses. Really nice. Not over the top. Finish with medium bitterness. Good.

Great pale ale. On tap at Rattle n Hum. I typically don’t thrill over standard pale ales, but this fella stands apart from the pack, perhaps because it is much hoppier than its peers. Anyway, pours a mild copper hue with a fine white head. Nose of citrusy hops. Flavor is heavy on the hops with a some malt thrown in to offset. Nice, bitter finish with a sticky aftertaste. Delicious.

Pours deep gold into shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface and hug rim. Fruity hop aromas. Thin with slight pine up-front and middle and lasting grapefruit finish.

12oz bottle. Filtered golden-orange color with a nice frothy head. Sweet piny aroma. Spicy, earthy hop notes, with a somewhat watery malt base. Lemony finish, certainly a healthy hop bill. I don’t find the taste of this beer particularly pleasing. Sub par for Lagunitas.

Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Solid and strong pale ale, that really blends the lines between a regular pale and an IPA. Pours with a white fizzy head with a clear color that can best be described as scotch with a dash of water. Hops and hops and hops in the aroma, both spicy and dank, with some light caramelized malt. Taste is very sweet with melons, pears, and apricots. Water like mouthfeel, lightly fizzy.

on tap-pours a thin white head that laces and amber color. Aroma is grapefruit. Taste is nice grapefruit, medium malt-caramel. Bitter then offset by sweet. Mild/minimum carbonation.

Bottle at Gavlen Bar, Copenhagen. I wrote down it was Pale Ale at 6.4%, but the label was different. Pretty sure it is this. Drank with Reakt sat at the bar and the two of us just stared at the beer in wonder. Gold, slight haze. Ang warned me this was good and it is. Wow. The hop, intense, really flavourful hop. Decent pale malts. Sherberty hop finish. Automatically one of my favourite all time US beers. Stunningly well balanced. Creamy in mouth.
