Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of deep caramel malt with a sweet finish. Taste is also dominated by some deep caramel malt with some well balanced sweetness. Hops do not play any major role in this beer. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no alcohol was apparent. Not complex but quaffable and enjoyable.

500 ml bottle as Brown Ale +. Orange brown body with a beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, fruit and hops. Flavor is sweet, caramel malty, some hops and a little hint of acid that remind me a bit of a Belgium brune. Quite nice.

On tap at EBF 08. Very dark brown, very thin beige head. Slightly dusty in mouth, bit of farmyard, which is odd. Rather good character. I mean it is rather dungy. OK.

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki on 2008-04-17) Clear. Dark Brown in colour. Small white head which may be due to the fact that my glass was filled almost to the rim. Nose has lots of malts and some fruitiness. Palate is between medium and full with some fizziness. The taste has lots of caramel malts, Somehow the taste resembles the Finnish home brewn non-alcoholic beers.

(Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 27 March 2008) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dark fruit, prunes and spicy hops. Malty, roasted taste with notes of toasted grain, dark fruit and prunes. Rather sweet, with modest bitterness. Nice and tasty though.
