Great White is the beer that started it all – it’s the original gangsta. And it remains one of our very favorites to this day. Crisp and refreshing, it’s everything you could ever want from a Belgian-style white. It’s full-bodied, unfiltered, and goes down oh-so smooth. The hint of citrus and coriander sets it apart from other Belgian whites.

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #23. 12 ounce bottle, 3/8/16. One of those beers that has somehow escaped me all these years. Hazy orange with a large foamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of yeast, spice, wheat. Mild citrus. Almost skunky. The taste is wheat, orange, yeast, lime. Medium bodied, fruity.

It finishes lightly sweet, slightly bitter and lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Average wit.

Flat and bland, dry and chalky. Pale golden and slightly cloudy with small foamy head. Light wheat aromas and taste, very light. Not horrible, but not much there either.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a hazy, yellow-golden beer under a finger-thick off-white head. The aroma is fruity, some coriander blends in. Orange peel, some lemon and a little peppery hint. Yeast notes too. Medium body, semi-dry, with peppery and coriander-ish hints. Some pale malts sweetness and a little orange peel. Nice carbonation. Short, a bit bland finish. An easy drinkable one, but too boring and uninteresting I think. 130809

Draft @ J. Ryan’s. Slightly hazy gold color with weak head retention. Nose is a light notes of citrus and wheat. Taste is weak. Notes of wheat, citrus and a slight spice. I get that the brewer wanted a light Wit but this is to light. Needs more body and flavor.

12 oz bottle. Pours light cloudy yellow with medium head. Aromas of dusty linen and light citrus. Flavors of apples, light citrus, and light coriander. Easy to drink but not much to write home about. A very light Belgian Wit.
