Great White is the beer that started it all – it’s the original gangsta. And it remains one of our very favorites to this day. Crisp and refreshing, it’s everything you could ever want from a Belgian-style white. It’s full-bodied, unfiltered, and goes down oh-so smooth. The hint of citrus and coriander sets it apart from other Belgian whites.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: cloudy pale yellow with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated at a decent pace but very little lace appeared
Aroma: some coriander, sweet wheat, light lemon, and extra citrusy notes, subtle herbal character
Flavor: mostly sweet with a muted sort of spice to dead floral kind of herbal tone; very dry with that dead floral tone in the finish
Texture: light bodied, some smoothness, slightly sessionable and dry to the feel on the tongue
Overall: I like witbiers but this one doesn't really hold it's weight with the better ones of the style.

Lemon, coriander, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet lemon, coriander, wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. I don't know how I missed rating this before - must have had it prior to starting rating. A classic beer that helped resurrect the witbier style.

Pint, on-tap in the Ironwood restaurant, Laguna Hills on 14th January 2023. Hazed light coloured body, white head; came pretty cold. Reminded me of Hoegaarden a little.

No special aroma, nothing like a wheat beer. Half clear gold, medium white head. Taste is a bit better, citrus like, low to medium sweetness, barely bitter. Light body, medium carbonation, short finish.

P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not bad. About what one might expect from an Americanized Wit. All the right flavors just pretty light. Decent.
