Great White is the beer that started it all – it’s the original gangsta. And it remains one of our very favorites to this day. Crisp and refreshing, it’s everything you could ever want from a Belgian-style white. It’s full-bodied, unfiltered, and goes down oh-so smooth. The hint of citrus and coriander sets it apart from other Belgian whites.

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Pours a faintly hazy gold with a small, white foam head. Character is mostly yeasty malts, touches of sugary fruits, very mild grassy bitterness, some floral notes. Overall, this beer just lands a bit flat. I’m a fan of witbiers, but this one wasn’t very inspiring.

Draught at Tadg’s. Pale gold. Aroma of wheat, spices, orange. Lots of orange peel. Creamy wheat flavor. A basic wit, but a bit thin. Ok. The least impressive of the day.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, other fruits and some spiciness. Sweetish fruity flavor with some spiciness and a spicier finish. Light-medium-bodied. Not so flavorful, but pretty quaffable.

Purchased at Trader Joe’s in Chicago, IL as part of a mix & match sampler pack, enjoyed on a chilly late March Friday night. This has been in my fridge for maybe 2 months and I’ve been procrastinating on this one...and for good reason (’cause it ain’t that good). Appearance like Bud Light...clear yellow with not much head. Aroma of lemon Pledge. Taste not too bad, has a slightly crisp aftertaste but not a \"Belgian ale\" yeast aftertaste. Forgettable.

Hah, not lost fer long! Smells a little like unsweetened lemon. Floating cloud of sediment inside a bright yellow pale liquid. Interesting mild hopped fruity like citrus drink. Seems fairly mild alky wise. Some sizzly CO2. Finish is rather well behaved.
