The perfect supping beer! Our first brew and still the New Forest’s favourite tipple. Nose: Tempting hop aroma with fruit notes. Palate: Good malt feel in the mouth, dry, tangy fruit finish. Comments: Delicious, easy drinking slightly tart pale bitter.

(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London, 23 Nov 2013) Dark amber colour with creamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, nuts, dark fruit and bread. Malty taste with notes of caramel, dark bread, dark fruit, nuts and a gentle bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, with balanced sweetness. Perfectly drinkable and quite enjoyable, but hardly exciting.

Mjuk, len och något oljig. Härlig humlearom och maltig kropp. Måttlig beska. Klassisk engelsk bitter.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise. Pours orange-amber with no head. Aroma holds notes of toasty bread, leaves and ripe fruits. Nice flavor, sweet with caramel and dough, and some leafy and herbal hops. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, sugary and bready with lingering caramel and dried leaves. Nice beer.

(Cask at a roadside pub close to Stonehenge) Quite an ordinary bitter. The colour was closer to copper than amber. Aroma had some fruitiness and hops were noticeable in the taste. Nothing wrong in this one.

Cask (The Alma, Upham) - Copper coloured. Dried fruit, malt and some faint hoppy hints in the aroma. Raisins, caramel, spicy malt and a some hops in the taste. Nothing remarkable, but tasty enough.
