Keg at the Bottleshop, 31/01/18. Hazed deep golden with a well presented off white head. Nose is sweet malts, vanilla, caramel, mellow bourbon strokes, candied fruits. Taste comprises fruit loaf, toffee, light oak, well integrated bourbon, stewed prunes, dried fruits, citric flesh breaking up the drier fruits, vanilla. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the close. Top draw tripel ... well balanced and never too sweet ... well integrated use of the barrel.

Bottleshop. Keg. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, soft and mildly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, sweetish, mildly dry and with a nice light creamy vibe. Nicely integrated vanilla. Nice fruity burst, soft floral fruits and very mellow and very pleasant bourbon. Even a trace of Port Wine on the very end which is light and dry. Very nice tripel, of course the barrelling doesn't hurt.

Keg at Bottleshop. It pours crazy cloudy orange - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is rich, juicy, still quite green, dank, herbal, weed, oily, resin, vanilla, toasted coconut, touch of aniseed, stone fruit and some sticky mango. The taste is dry, bitter, slick, oily, desicated coconut, bourbon, oak, boozy warmth, plenty of vanilla, toffee, stone fruit, orange creamiscle, spice, grass, herbal accents and oak with a warming finish. Medium - full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. The barrel aging makes this a bit heavy. I like the aroma, but it sits heavy on the palate and the BA dominates the taste. Fun, but I prefer the base beer.
