Clear, light, and easy-drinking, our Extra Pale Ale is very smooth and goes down a treat. Brewed with a number of American hop varieties – including Cascade, Citra and Chinook – this beer has a deep fruity flavour – it certainly brings a little something extra to the party! As one of our most popular beers, we believe Extra Pale Ale really speaks for itself.

33cl can. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light grassy citrus. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, light bitter with a light, watery crisp, light fruit, light dry pepper spice, light hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can from Tesco, Aldershot. Had this yesterday evening but the rating wouldn't load up. A fruity hoppy aroma and it's a hazy light gold with big frothy head. Straight away I'm thinking this is more of an APA than a gold. Light bitter with a sweet citrus punch. Light-medium bodied. Some slickness. Lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. Very enjoyable. But a gold?

Can from Tesco and drunk at home. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. Decent sherbet grapefruit hop aroma. Perfectly acceptable pale ale. Rather good to be honest. Went well with my fish stew.

Can at home shared with grumpy, picked up from Tesco. A light hazed yellow, straw coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is light dried grains, spicy dry lemon rind, little hay, midget gems. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, raw grains, bready, hay, dirty citrus, spicy lemon rind. Palate is semi sweet, graint, highish carbonation, frothy. Good.

33cl can from Tesco, Warfield. A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; sour fruity aroma with some tropical notes; smooth creamy body with an indistinct fruity taste, and a gentle herbal bitterness; then some orange and lemon to finish. Unexpected.

Cask at Lyric Soho. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, sweet, dominating lemonade character, biscuit and bread&butter pudding. The taste is bitter - sweet, white bread, biscuit, lemon parfait, straw, sweet apricot with a dry lemonade finish. Light - medium body, fine carbonation and close textured mouth - feel. More of a traditional cask ale that I was expecting from these guys. Not bad.
