500ml can. Pours golden with no head. Aroma is grass, cooked veg and nail polish. Some corn to start. Very sweet, caramel finish.

Can, 10% version. Bubbly gold pour with a thick, creamy and pure white head. Grainy, cereal malts in the nose with some alcohol poking through. Flavor is lightly sweet but dominated by booze. Some cereal, soggy hops. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and considerable warmth. Boozy finish with some sugary malts. I’m not a big fan of this style generally but this brew is drinkable.

500ml can, 10% ABV, by courtesy of faroeviking. Film-type head atop of a clear golden body. Vapour of alcohol mixed with malts. Unbalanced sweet and sour taste with a prominent booze character all the way. Soft carbonated. Drain pour (hotel room, Copenhagen 07.11.2010).

Can: Poured a dark yellow color lager with small bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of adjunct is extremely powerful and mix with some fusel alcohol that is pretty disgusting. Taste is almost unbearable due to the high-level of adjunct sugar and fusel alcohol. I could barely drink more then 10% of this before drain pouring the while thing.

Can, 10%. Metal aroma, but almost OK. Clear golden colour. Nice stable white head. Very peppery flavour. Not sweet like many ESLs.

Can. (10% ABV version)Clear, straw with a small white head. Sweet nose with malt and notes of hay and grain. It has a sweet and malty flavor with alcohol. A bit grainy maybe. Thin to medium, warming mouthfeel. A decent beer, regarding the alcohol level. I still don’t see the meaning of these beers. (070331)

(Bottle 33 cl) 10% ABV version. Pretty, fully golden colour - bordering amber. Very fizzy, almost noisy when poured, but the head remains pretty much absent. Full-bodied and potent, but surprisingly the alcohol is not THAT prominent. Perhaps the added German aroma hops draw some of the attention away from the booze. Not bad for a European Strong. 040400
