Tap. Clear, nearly black with thick and creamy beige head. Roasted malt aroma, slightly fruity. Flavour has roast and notes of coffee. Dry but also with a little sweetness. Not bad but not overwhealming either

Keg at Brussels Beer Cafe, KL. It pours black with a thick, creamy beige head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, cocoa acidity and general creaminess. The taste is smooth, roasty, some acidity, toast, light bitterness and coffee.....not a lot else really! Pretty drying on the finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Guinness clone for sure. Not bad, just very basic stuff.

Draft at the Brussels Beer Cafe, Kuala Lumpur. Dark brown pour and a frothy head. Its a typical stout in its appearance. However, if you are expecting it to taste like a typical stout you might be surprised. It’s quite malty and light with a hint of bitterness. I found it quite refreshing actually and when served cool it seems to suit the Asian climate. I won’t be coming to Asia especially to drink this beer, but I could be tempted to order another in preference to a Guinness so I guess that’s quite a decent recommendation. Having said that, hardened fans of the black stuff would probably turn their noses up at this imposter!

25cl on tap at Brussel Beer Cafe, KL. Black with a creamy light brown nitro head. Quite strange herbal aroma with mint dominates over the malt and caramel. Very little roasted aroma. Strange stout, herbal with a light bitterness in the finish. A bit watery. (2012-05-05)

Nitro pour. Dark brown with deep burgundy accents. Light brown nitro cream head. The aroma is toasty with chocolate malt. Chocolatey, creamy with light coffeeish notes. Low to moderate bitterness. Some acidity in the finish. Not a scintillating beer, but competes well enough with the draught Guinness.
