Mumme var en kraftig, mørk og maltet øltype fra den sene middelalder. Måske d’en øl bryggeren forkælede sig selv med. I denne version har vi tilføjet et streif af nordiske bær. Typisk Schiøtz.

Known in Italy as "Ceres Nørden Dark Mumme".

50 cl bottle. Dark amber colour with a few off-white bubbles on top. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, dark berries, toasted bread, spices and a hint of nutes. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry and fruity with caramel malts and berries. OK.

Thanks to yespr(?)! 500 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG17. Dark red amber, little tanned head. Overly metallic nose, herbal, thick kitchen spices but dull. Taste is empty metallic herbal, stale leaves & kitchen spices, body is the same. Nothing terrible but so empty and dull.

500ml bottle bought at Superbrugsen, Halmtorvet, Kbh.. Patchy beige layer over a deep rosewood coloured body. Fair lacing. Berry fruity aroma, semi-dry. Dark doughy flavours, hints of caramel and black currant. Berry fruits towards the finish. Clean in the mouth. Fine depth. Decent. (Hotel room, Copenhagen 10.08.2017).

Bottle @ Italian restaurant in Aarhus. Brownish color with a light reddish glare coming through. Smell and taste malts, lightly iron, dark malts, caramel, soft sweetness and softly bitter. Quite pleasant. Nothing spice herb vegetable imo.

Clear very dark color with a fine frothy off white head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Looks nice. Mellow decent sweetness and a bit oily texture. Medium (+) body and an ok carbonation level. Easy to drink. Toffee, bready and a bit fruity flavor. Far better than feared. Quite nice actually.

50cl bottle from Rimi Norde, Tallinn. Pours dark copper to chestnut coloured with a rather modest, off-white head. Herbal aroma with fruity notes, dark berries and hints of caramel and spices. Medium sweet, but much more pleasant and balanced than expected. Works out fairly well, not too sweet and the berry flavour isn’t too dominating. Nothing too special, but certainly quite okay.
