Draught at Eastide Club Tavern, Olympia
Aroma has some artifical-like milk chocolate and some coffee. Leathery palate. Flavour has milk chocolate and somewhat bitter coffee. A bit on the sweet side and unusual - but nice.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours pitch black color with a nice 2 finger dense mocha head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Some nice spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of milk chocolate, caramel, toffee, roasted malt, coffee, toast, herbal, oats, nuttiness, and light dark fruits. Very nice and well balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, oats, toast, toffee, herbal, nuttiness, and light dark fruits. Low amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, caramel, coffee, roasted malt, toffee, oats, herbal, and light dark fruit on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of roasted flavors with malt sweetness; and quite robust with no cloying sweetness. Medium carbonation and body; with a nice creamy and fairly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with pretty much no warming noticed at all after the finish. Overall this is a very nice oatmeal stout. Very nice balanced roasted and robust flavors; and very easy to drink. Maybe a touch too fruity, but still very enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a black with a red hue to the edges the head was tan color and very creamy. Aroma nice coffee bean. Taste is coffee bean up front and yet still has that smooth oat and chocolate finish.

Deep dark brown body with a nice and rich tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, caramel and tons of oatmeal. Medium-bodied; Roasty with a very sweet and potent finish. Aftertaste shows butter, nuts, caramel, chocolate and coffee - very nice finish and awfully strong. Overall, a very good beer and definitely nice to try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug (Old Seward) in Anchorage, Alaska sampled in my hotel in Seward, Alaska on 26-June-2010.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet caramel chocolate malt with dark fruits and nice sweet treacle. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from Sept 2011, still OK.

Dark with a creamy, standing head. Chocolate, lightly roasted malts, oatmeal, sweet malts in the aroma. Velvety smooth body. Cocoa, roasted malts, a bit of coffee, light oatmeal, with a bit of herbal hops. Nice bitter finish. A solid stout that goes down nicely.
