Can. Had this after having three single barrel rain shadows with my brother and girlfriend. Pours very dark, almost no head. Aroma is intense dark malts, with loads of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted barley. Full-bodied and thick oily mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lots of burnt sugar, caramel and dark malts. Very dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, some vanilla. A bit heavy on those specialty malts imho, but still good.

Can. Close to black body under a fine brown head. Strong and nice aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Taste is sweet, dark roasted malt, dark, sweet chocolate, coffee, cocoa, warming alcohol and pleasant bitterness. Full bodied with long lasting aftertaste. Very nice.

Well stored bottle, tasted November 2022. Pitch black body under a moderate sized beige head. Aroma has dark malt, vanilla and coffee. Taste is super smooth, soft dark malt, medium sweet, coffee, dark chocolate, balanced bitterness and mils, warming alcohol. Fine body with long lasing aftertaste. Solid, smooth and very nice indeed.

A black beer, a head is medium and brown. Aroma has salt liquorice, liquorice, chocolate, barrel, bourbon, hint of dried fruits. Taste has salt liquorice, barrel, light bourbon and roastiness, some prune, richness of malts. Full bodied, but not stickyness. Great beer, powerfull, intensive and balanced. Over 3 years old but still in brilliant condition.

Thin brown head left a spotty cover on a still black body. Aniseed, malt & boozed up aroma. Full bodied, soft, smooth & cloying. Malt, chocolate, liquorice, smokey & brandy tastes with tangy finish. Big hitter.
