Packed full of fruity New Zealand hops, including Nelson Sauvin. Aromas of tropical fruits give way to a unique grapefruit sharpness. Haka is a malty and smooth, full-flavoured, well-balanced pale ale.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.Amber with a ring of white head; grapey, Nelson Sauvin aroma; soft grapey taste; with a zingy bitterness. Pleasant stuff.

Cask at the Willow Walk, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. The nose has some lovely cat pee and drying citrus. Light sweet flavor with dank citrus, dry and lightly toasted pale malts, touches of urine. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry citrusy hops to finish, mellow dry pale malts, some orange and tangerine rind, piss. Great stuff.

Cask handpull at Liberty Bounds Spoons. Gold clear lasting ivory head. Sweaty sox nelson flavour. Not my favourite hop when it’s done like this. A bit toasty. Vague tropical fruit. Gets better but not my favourite hop. Bit metallic

Cask at the moon under water Watford jdw. Clear golden orange colour persistent creamy off white head. Herbal hop in the nose, touch of nelson sauvin hop maybe and berry. Flavour is biscuity clean malt with present English yeast esters. Hop is hedgerow and the nelson sauvin is more present in the finish. Decent drop. The yeast and hop don’t meld perfectly.

Amber coloured beer. Aroma is flowery, honey, slight metallic edge. As can be expected with New Zealand hops, the taste is bitter as hell, followed y honeyed sweetness, with a more tempered bitter finish. Slightly acrid aftertaste, but overall a very well-crafted ale.
