Keg @ Cellar Bar, Chester - 8.5%. Pours hazy gold, white head. Sweet yeasty fruit aroma. Continues to the taste with a moderately sweet character, balanced but lacking an expected rich alcohol presence and boosted hop flavours for an 8.5% beer. Some orange and vanilla icing notes. Dangerously drinkable.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2015. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light gluey resin. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a smooth rich nettle woody, alcoholic bitter palate and a long bitter finish. A little one dimensional.

Craft near Tottenham Court Road war zone. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fairly neutral pale malts. Brief savoury note. Juicy orange hops, hop spice. Traces of lemon and floral things. Light semi dry finish. Spicy fruity linger. Decent but Skull King has nowt to worry about here.

Keg at CBC CG - London. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds dry citrus rind, yeast and minerals. Medium sweet flavor with drying mineral character, lemon rind, some pith, spicy yeast, pale bread. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with more spicy yeast, mellow eaters, pale bread, dry and rindy citrus notes. OK.

Keg at Bacchus, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Wednesday 30th September 2014. Pours hazy gold with white sticky head. Really full flavoured slight scented feel to this but with for some reason a slight creamy nutty edge to add to the inevitable bittersweet citrus punch. Really great. Yup another winner that Loz is on! A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
