Cask hand pull Crosse Keys Spoons. Black very dark brown beer. Citrusy black ipa. Not overly roasty. Quite hoppy. Bit watery in the condition. Dry lasting finish. Touch of lime. Decent. Not my style but a dry hoppy stout.

A rare semi live rate from me as I had to neck this in very short order or miss my train. Hamilton Hall Spoons. Cask. Clear dark amber - brown beer, bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light and with good fine carbonation. Generally excellent condition, thank you HH! Smooth malts, mild dark charater, trace of coffee. Whisper of esters. Hops are mildly spicy mild pine! Traces of citrus and floralness. Comes together very well in to a crispy finish. Very neckable!

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. A deep glossy mahogany colour with a tight cream head; aroma of berry fruits; soft and fruity in the mouth, with some earthy malts and a spicy, woody, bitterness; then a dry, caramel finish with lingering bitter herbs and spice. Rather good.

Cask at the King and Castle, Tourist Town Central, 24/03/15. Mahogany brown with reddish hues topped with a decent khaki cap. Nose is earthy hops, light pine, caramel, red grapefruit, red berry linger. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, light spice, pine, orange marmalade, touch of Ribena berry. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a dusty hop wash. Ok CDA and likely to end up being my highest rated beer of the fest but I was expecting a little more from this brewer!

Cask at the Willow Walk, JDW - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a frothy beige head. Good aroma with sturdy roast, pine and rindy citrus. Medium sweet flavor with some oily chocolate, resinous pine lacing, banking cocoa, earthy bitterness, juicy citrus. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Nicely resinous on the finish with more bittersweet cocoa, oily pine, citrus fruits, some bitter rind and earth. A very good CDA overall.
