On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. An unclear brown beer with a dark beige head. There’s a light roasted touch in the aroma, with oak and some berries. Hints of vanilla too. It’s very smooth on the palate, semi-tart and medium bodied, with the alcohol giving just a slight warmth in the mouth. Roasted malt notes, vanilla, oak and berries melting together in the flavor, lasting for a good while. A really fine one, just as good as some of the best Belgian specimen. 150611

Dixieme 10% Bottle shared by Jean-Yves. A reddish-brown pour with a fast dissipating brown head. A bit of sweet cherry coke with tart musty sourness. The beer is medium bodied with an effervescent carbonation. The taste is sweet molasses, tart cherry, oak, a bit of burnt sugary biscuit. Great stuff.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark burgundy color ale with a medium size brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of intense kriek notes with some oak notes and light funky ester is pretty much perfect for style. Taste is dominated by nice kriek notes with a medium level of tartness and some oak. Residual sugar level is quite low with almost no acidity. Body is about average with good carbonation. My expectations were quite high but this is possibly one of the best sour/wild ale I‘ve tasted in my life.

Ça a vraiment bien vieilli. 8/3/8/4/16=3.9/5.0

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny head. Aroma brings out lots of black cherries, with some light vinegar. Flavour reveals notes of black cherries, moderate tartness, and a touch of funk. Very elegant, with a wonderful mix of cherries and funk. Excellent beer.
