La Bonté is open fermented with our house Brettanomyces strains. The beer is then blended with a portion of Blonde Sour and onto a half pound per gallon of French Pears. Then we age the beer in bottles until it reaches perfection.

Bottle @ Scheffels Otha fish in the sea Tasting. Pours Hazy deep golden with a white head. Good funk, good fruit, brett and Wood. White Wine. Wood. Dry finish.

Bottleshare: pours pale haze with a white head. Aroma is lightly funky with fruits. Taste is lightly bitter and funky. Easy and nice. With plenty of complexity.

Draft at Wicked Weed Funkatorium, Asheville, NC. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of fruit, funk, floral, pear. Taste is white wine, fruit, oak, pear, light funk. Tart finish. Very good.

Bottle @ MTG II tasting at Rich’s Welfare Pad. Pours hazy yellow, white head. Light floral aroma. Taste appears to be more lemon than pear although some soft fleshy pear does drift into view. Mild funk presence. Expected more pear.

Bottle in the hotel room at Scandic Bergen City, thanks SirLimpsalot. Hazy yellow with a small head. Sour with fruit, citrus, light wood and some hints of yeast. The body was medium and the bitterness low.

[ As Wicked Weed La Bonte - Pear ].Unclear - hazy medium golden yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity malt, pale malt, moderate hoppy - yeast, tart fruit - pear, pear - sweet pear and tart pear. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, tart, funky, pear, sweet malt, sweet fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
