Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, dark malt, dry, vanilla notes. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100731]

31st July 2010. ChrisOs Pre GBBF - ’Raise The Roof’ tasting. Opaque black beer - good tan head. Smooth light palate - somewhat dry. Smooth dark malt - lightly toasted and a little creamy. Finishes soft and slightly tangy.

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Deep ambery brown colour with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, some ashes as well as mild coffeeish notes. Flavour is the same with the coffee and ashes being in the main focus. Yet a very pleasant beer.

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Clear amber beer. Thick off white head. Light dry palate, very light. A little malt. Dry, minerally and crisp. However this beer lacks anything other than a little light malt.
